Anytime TV

Anytime TV is an organization which has a platform to sell their broadcasting services to consumers. This include combination of HD Channels, Regional channels, Sports channels etc.

As part of this exercise, I have created an online portal where Agents, Administrator, and Business owner’s login to do their respective tasks on a daily basis.

Logo Design

Appropriate

The logo should be appropriate for the intended audience and Context. i.e. when placed on the TV/Device screen its should not block the canvas but still should stand out.

Simple

Identifiable at a glance

Memorable

Appropriate to the nature of the business.

Versatile

Should be fit for all types of screens.

User Research without access to user

Considering available timeline and limitation in availability of resources resulted in limited or no access to actual user. In such case the option to complete the process chosen was:

Empathy

“It is conscious effort to put myself in the shoes of our users, understanding data from my previous knowledge about them; and also obtaining data through all available research streams. Thus creating research materials taking into account our users and consciously designing with them in mind”.

Discovery

Writing down everything I know about the target and carried out an investigation: what social networks do they usually use? How do they communicate? What do they like? What are they complaining about?

Immersion

Immersion is about discovering the users’ world. This step involve directly experiencing the lives, contexts, activities, and environments. More like role play.

Detachment

Stepping back into the role of a designer and begin to reflect on what was experienced and learned in order to generate ideas.

Making Grounded Assumption (what-how-why method)

Based on experience in the previous process, developed hypotheses to answer open questions. What is the assumption; How is assumption happening; and Why is the assumption happening.

User Profile - Agent

“I need a website/portal where I can view the packages, recharge them. I need to also view customers, their requests and address them.”

Arpit Dutta
Agent

User Persona

User Persona were created for each group of users; to include behavior patterns, goals, skills, attitudes, background information, as well as the environment in which a persona operates.

Empathy Map

A collaborative visualization was created to articulate what we know about particular ‘user type’. This helped to create a shared understanding of user needs, and aid in decision making.

Affinity Map

These diagrams helped to organize information into groups of similar items and to generate qualitative data or observations.

User Profile - Admin

“If I had way to monitor packages, customize and push them; advertise the changes in packs and increase sales. I also need to monitor downtime and escalate”

User Profile - Owner

“I need a way to monitor sales to increase them. I need a common location from where I could connect to my admins, agents to understand new areas. I just want to increase my revenue.”

How might we create a web portal for our Agents, Admins and Business Owners that helps in easy management broadcasting packages, solve customer issues, tap new markets, understand revenues and promote growth.

Problem Statement

Explorations

Explorations were created to make the design look catchy and attractive with contrasts but were later toned down considering intendede use.
